The CPFC region is strategically located along major east-west and north-south transportation corridors, providing connections to markets across Alberta, Canada and the United States.

Highway 3 links communities throughout Southern Alberta and connects the region with British Columbia and Saskatchewan. Highway 4 provides access to the Canada–United States border through the CANAMEX trade corridor, while Highway 36 supports north-south freight and high-load transportation. Regional rail connections, trucking services and access to airports in Lethbridge and Calgary provide additional transportation options.

This combination of location, transportation infrastructure and logistics capacity supports the movement of agricultural commodities, food products, ingredients, equipment and other goods throughout regional, domestic and international supply chains.
